God’s call has always been that His people would be a light unto the world. His desire is that they would awaken a world that has been lulled to sleep by the devil. The Crux takes this expectation seriously and is committed to our responsibility to awake, shape, create and illuminate culture. Far too long the Church has seen itself as peripheral to culture and that is not the case. We are called to create the future and the culture because we are intimately connected to the creator of all things. We are made in his image and should reflect that image in all things.

Eph. 1:23 “The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church.  The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.” (The Message)
